Does the 30-second Spot Have a Future?

I came across this interesting article from Red Bee Media on the future of the 30-Second Advert Spot on TV:

We have worked on many 30-Second adverts and have always loved the challenge of producing original music that makes an impact in such a short space of time.

The most exciting bit of the article was the section on Interactive TV Technology, where it talks about X-Box and how it “has the potential to transform the 30 second spot – taking it from passively watching to actively participating.”

It will be interesting to see how advertising adapts in the coming years especially with the explosion of Social Media and what kind of challenges it will pose for us a music producers. But one thing is for sure, De-tached will relish the opportunity of continuing to produce high-quality, high-impact music whatever the format, whatever the demands!
